Southwest with taped seams that make the hat completely waterproof. Alnö is lined with soft mesh which is a thinner lining than model Lofoten.

The outer fabric is made of durable nylon with good breathability. A reflective band is sewn around the entire brim. Tie straps with removable stopper.  The ear/neck part has an elastic band on the outer edge that keeps all wind from reaching the ears. The ear part is also lined with thin mesh. The brim is longer at the back to protect the neck and shoulders from rain and sun.
